Cleān Slate Sensitive Formula Night Crème combines retinol with a simpler cream base, aloe vera liquid extract and distilled water. The added aloe liquid extract also contributes water and glycerin. Its simpler base differs from the botanical oil blend used in Full Potency.

Why this base?
Sensitive Formula pairs micellar retinol with a simpler cream base and added aloe vera liquid extract. Glycerin, present in the aloe extract, helps attract and retain moisture.
Why a micellar preparation?
Retinol is oil-soluble and does not readily dissolve in water. A micellar carrier can accommodate it within an inward-facing region while its outer surface interacts with water. This is useful when incorporating retinol into water-containing skincare.

Retinol can cause dryness, redness or flaking. Reduce frequency or discontinue use if irritation occurs. Use sunscreen during the day.
